Bergamo Municipality encourages tourist groups visiting the Upper Town to use ATB public transport connections in order to protect the historical and cultural treasures in the old town. Private coaches can drop visitors in the square in front of the Funicular Station or at the Bus Station in front of the Train Station and then move on to park at dedicated spaces.

Features of our vehicles
Funicular
It can carry up to 50 passengers with a total of 12 sitting places.
It connects the two stations, Viale Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe, in about 3 minutes. It is the most characteristic way to reach Upper Town with zero enviromental impact.
Bus
The urban bus is 12 metres long, with 22 sitting places. It can carry up to 80 passengers. It connects the Bus Station (Urban Center stop) – to Upper Town – Colle Aperto bus stop – in about 15/20 minutes, depending on the traffic at peak times.
How to book and pay for the service
Services must be booked within three working days prior to the use of the service.
Services can be paid for by bank transfer on the account of ATB Servizi Spa, IBAN IT44W0542811111000000061383.
Following the payment ATB releases a confirmation receipt with a phone number to contact in case of need or urgent communications.
Costs of Service
Costs vary depending on the number of passengers:
- Less than 30 pax € 50,00 + VAT
- From 31 to 55 pax € 80,00 + VAT
- From 56 to 80 pax € 100,00 + VAT
- From 81 to 100 pax € 140,00 + VAT
Inconvenience and cancellation policies
In case the group arrives more than 15 minutes late, the group leader must contact ATB.
In case the group arrives more than 15 minutes late without contacting ATB, a penalty of € 25.00 + VAT will be applied for every hour of delay.
In case of cancellation the amount of the bank transfer will be reimbursed only if ATB receives communication at least 48 hours before the scheduled time of the booked service.
