A new way to access Città Alta
With the aim to facilitate the decongesting tourist busses flow near the lower funicular station, one of the main access points to the Upper City, it has been opened in via Rovelli, where once was the custom, a 10.000 square metres parking space dedicated to GT busses and it has been prepared a project, named Bergamo easy access to provide tourists with two way to access the Upper Town.
What is it provided within the service
Bergamo easy access provides a range of different services to meet the needs that any incoming group may have:
- parking only in via Rovelli parking space;
- parking in via Rovelli parking space and bus transfer to Città Alta;
- parking in via Rovelli parking space and tourist train transfer to Città Alta.
Fares
The parking within the dedicated area can be short, till 4 hours, or longer than 4 hours.
The cost is € 40,00 and € 70,00 respectively.
Parking can be reserved in advance and paid by bank transfer or used and paid directly on site upon arrival.

- Parking within the 4 hours and bus transfer € 90,00, with tourist train transfer € 190,00.
- Parking longer than 4 hours and bus transfer € 120,00, with tourist train transfer € 220,00.
Valid for trips taken afte the 1st July - fares VAT included
- Parking within the 4 hours and bus transfer € 120,00, with tourist train transfer € 220,00.
- Parking longer than 4 hours and bus transfer € 150,00, with tourist train transfer € 250,00.
Tourist train packages include the possibility to use both the funiculars (City and San Vigilio).
Means characteristics
Bus transfer is carried out by a vehicle equipped for urban service that can transport up to 80 passengers (75 in the presence of a passenger on wheelchair).
Tourist train offers 55 seats (50 in the presence of a passenger on wheelchair), microphone and audioguide.
Both means of transportation are accessible.
Where does the transfer leave
Tourist buses arriving in the city will drop off passengers near the bus station on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII along the dedicated bus lane at Piazzale Alpini level.
Via Rovelli parking starts 20 minutes after the time of arrival scheduled in viale Papa Giovanni XXIII and stops 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
How to book
To offer the best city tour experience and meet each group needs, reservation must be made at least 10 days before the day of the service required by filling out the following form in every part and sending it to servizispeciali@atb.bergamo.it
